As reluctant as I am to say it, the Illinois TEA partiers do have one point:  It would be nice to take another look at the income tax policy in Illinois.

It's my understanding Tim's going to have a press conference today (or did he already?) where he'll come out in support of concealed carry.

I’ve been thinking about the Tea Partiers…Do you think they’ll run someone against Aaron Shock or Tim Johnson?   My instinct says probably not Shock – if anything, I think he’ll try to weave himself into their ranks (I think he’ll do whatever he thinks he needs to do to stay in Washington now).

Every year Debbie and I try to make it to Bob Flider's hog roast – FliderFest.
This year it's going to be held Tuesday, September 15 (next week) from 5:00-7:00pm at the Mt. Zion Lions Club Community Center.
Here's a link to an official flyer
The food is always good the conversation lively, and it's always tons of fun!
Hope to see you there!

This morning, I happened to hear Brian Byers on WSOY in the 8am hour. He had a trio of teabaggers on for over half an hour.   They went out of their way to thank Bob Fallston of the H&R, and the publisher of the Decatur Tribune and other local media for being so accommodating…

Not that it ever really ends! ;-)

Tonight Tim Dudley will be at a meet-and-greet at the IBEW hall (3390 North Woodford) from 4-7.

Tim is running for the State Senate seat in the 51st district, and you can learn more about him here: http://www.timdudley.com/

We'll probably pop in about 6 or so to see what's up, and chat a bit. If you don't know Tim (lol – or even if you do!), I encourage you to go say hello.
