I’ve been thinking about the Tea Partiers…Do you think they’ll run someone against Aaron Shock or Tim Johnson?   My instinct says probably not Shock – if anything, I think he’ll try to weave himself into their ranks (I think he’ll do whatever he thinks he needs to do to stay in Washington now).

Tim Johnson, on the other hand, is a prime Tea Party target.  He’s low profile, he’s a “good soldier” - I think for the most part he votes the way he’s told by the party leaders – and he’s broken his promise to the people (as so many other of the Republicans voted in to office in 2000 did) to serve only 3 terms in Congress.  Add to this the relatively poor showing (in my opinion) Johnson managed against the last two poorly-funded Democratic candidates, and I think he’s vulnerable - If the Tea Party “put’s up” and runs someone against him.

What makes these "tea party" folks a bit surreal to me is that most of them believe Obama is a socialist.  Wow that is down right crazy talk.
