Totally random ramblings: Suited for a comment, not substantive enough for a real story.

First, the weekend’s flooring went so well, our 340 square feet of work turned into around 440 square feet…We liked it so much we decided to keep going.  In fact (with mixed feelings) we may even decide to do about 700 square feet more (Bedroom and Sitting Room) in wood instead of carpet….On the one hand, it’s pretty easy to do ourselves (and save about $2 square foot on installation), on the other hand…Well, after only 440 square feet I’ve become a big fan of Non-Steroidal-Anti-Inflammatory drugs (Ibuprofen).

 

I test drove a BMW Z4 35i a few weeks ago, and almost bought one…Luckily, they wouldn’t let me drive it home (snowstorm), so I lived to tell the tale (Mrs. Jackson would not have been amused!).   There’s a new version coming out – the Z4 35is.  It’s expensive – probably too expensive - and I’d probably never get another car like it again…Even so - boy!  It’s really going to be hard to resist….I may *barely* be able to fit it in to the budget….*barely*….if I drive my Focus for another 100,000 miles, and all the central air conditioning units hold out a while longer…

Doing the sitting room tonight!  With a little luck, I’ll get 300 Square Feet of floor down…I should have taken a “before” picture, but the image of that hideously ugly carpet is forever burnt into my brain – even without one.  Maybe I’ll post pictures of the sitting room when it’s done.

Also – St Patrick’s day parade is this Saturday.  If I’m not too achy, I’ll walk with the Democrats in the parade.  Come on out and walk - it’s a lot of fun!
