No City Council meeting on Monday. Apparently not enough to vote on?

It's too late now, I realize, but  I think it would have been an opportunity to do a non-urgent study session or two and appearance of citizens.

For example
Things that could be discussed:
Water/reservoir situation –How many years have we been talking about this with no serious solutions in sight?
It’s always good thing to hear from the Library board – what are they up to these days, and how’s the ‘plaza’ building’s renovation going? Did that whole power-bill/air-conditioning/rent/maintenance-bill stuff get sorted out?
I’d also like a report on how and what we’re doing on the intergovernmental cooperation front. Is the city playing any better with the county than they used to? How are we getting along with the park district, too?
I’d also like to hear a report from some of the folks who get money from the City. Aren’t we due a report from our Springfield Lobbyist? How about Craig Coil from EDC?
A lot of people thought it was a waste of time, but I thought Tony Libretore’s goal setting session was worth while – how about doing that again…or…maybe…even…
Having one of Councilman Laegeler’s oft encouraged long-medium term planning/expectation setting sessions!
Another interim report on Health Insurance plan costs.
A tease (at least) about the 41 positions being vacated, and the savings/impacts that will be realized.

Anyway…
