The Coffee Connection on North Main St. (where Bob's Roast Beef used to be) is opening up for business on Monday (later today!). I met the owners through the plan commission meeting (they came in for approval), and they strike me as genuinely good people. I encourage everyone to go by and give them a try. I don't normally get a coffee-drink in the morning, but I will go out of my way to patronize their shop. If they can make a good, fairly-priced cappuccino, I might very well make it a regular part of my morning routine. They're locally owned-and-operated, and for what it's worth, from what I know of them, the owner's are folks I feel completely comfortable spending my money on.
They're going to kill me for not remembering their names, but I'm one of those people who never forgets a face; and never remembers a name (no wonder I didn't get elected, eh?)! Seriously I encourage everyone to give them a try...They've invested locally, they've followed all the rules; I think their financing was even local...(Sue and Eric – it's just down the street from both of you). It's 100% subjective, but I just like these folks...

Matthew,

Julie Stalets used to work with me.  Her husband is a police officer here in town and I forgot his name -  Chad - I think - but  I  know their dog's name - Bandit!   Yes they are really nice people and we should do all we can to support them!   Great addtion to our neighborhood!

I'll ride my bike down there for a coffee - I really really need the exercise just hope no one laughs at me!!

Matthew,

I had to look up what "non-sequitur" means.  Now I know.  At least today won't be a total loss; I learned a new word!  I don't like coffee but if they sell a good root beer or 7-Up, I'll give them my business!

I went by the Coffee Connection this morning and I’m happy to report it is very good! They were handing out sample baked goods when I went through, and, well, how could I refuse!  :-)  – Excellent scones!

lol - not sure about the Root Beer - I'll look tomorrow.
Give them a try!
